Applied Kinesiology

Applied Kinesiology is a system of evaluating how the body reacts to various forms of stimuli applied to the nervous system, or to simply state, "functional neurology". "AK" was founded in 1964 by Dr. George J. Goodheart, and encompasses the idea that the body is a self-maintaining and self-correcting mechanism, given the chance. When health is lost, something is interfering with the body's ability to process and handle various stressors, leading to accumulation, sickness, and disease.

"Muscle testing" is a technique used to determine not the actual strength of a muscle, but rather how the nervous system controls it.

Applied Kinesiology is non-invasive, and a great examination and diagnostic tool to examine the human body and interconnecting systems. It provides a simple way of identifying adrenal fatigue, allergies, organ dysfunction, digestive disorders, nutritional deficiencies, as well as emotional stressors, and can provide treatment protocols to restore a balanced system.

Nutritional Testing

Ever hear the old addage, "You are what you eat." This is primarily true, knowing that our cells heal, repair, and sustain the many processes of daily life with what we put into our bodies. No two human have the same fingerprint, DNA, or chemical makeup, so individualized nutritional testing takes into account the specific problems/needs for each person.

We utilize 3 different techniques in our office:

Nutritional Testing using Applied Kinesiology: We use "muscle testing" to assess the specific energy patterns of the body. Problems or imbalances in energetic patterns proceed the physical manifestation of pathology or DIS-ease. These alarm points are the "check engine" light for the human body.

Bio-Meridian Stress Assessment: This is a comprehensive computerized evaluation of the body's energy systems. This amazing technology evaluates the electrical conductivity of specific acupuncture points, usually on the hands and feet, providing an overall assessment of the body's energetic systems.  These measurements can pinpoint problems areas, deficiencies, and imbalances, and also assists in rebalancing the body's systems.



Phase Contrast Blood Analysis: This technique involves the use of a dark field microscope, which provides images of live red blood cells. A small blood sample is used to identify nutritional deficiencies and is a very useful tool in determining nutritional needs.
