We offer the following Treatments & Services:
- Laser -- Laser is an
acronym for Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of
Radiation. Light created in this way is then culminated and
directed into an intense beam of coherent light through the use
of cathode and anode reflecting components in order to produce a
single frequency. The laser is used in our office to treat
multiple things; from inflammation to assisting in correcting a
neurological dysfunction.
- Percussor -- A piece of equipment use din the office
to free up fascial (thin layer of connective tissue that
surrounds each muscle) restrictions, muscle spasms, and organ
restrictions by gentle percussive waves of energy. By using
this, spasms are reduced, lymphatics flow more freely, and organ
motility is restored.
- Acupuncture -- A method
of encouraging the body to promote natural healing and improve
functioning. This is done by using needles, laser, electricity,
or pressure applied into the body along pathways of energy known
as "meridians." Stimulating or sedating these pathways can
often alleviate painful syndromes.
- Applied Kinesiology --
A system of evaluating how the body reacts to various
forms of stimuli applied to the nervous system, or to simply
state "functional neurology." You may hear the Doctor or
Athletic Trainers use the terms "strong" or "weak" muscles as
indicators for muscle testing. The actual strength is not being
tested, but rather how the nervous system controls the
particular muscle.
- Nutritional
Testing/Supplements -- Touches acupuncture 'alarm'
points, and when the hole in the energy field shows up as an
imbalance, an indicator muscle will show. The appropriate
nutrition is applied to the imbalance and balances the energy
field.
- Massage Therapy --
We have a massage therapist available in our offices to perform
myofascial release therapy for our patients. Massage
therapy is done by a licensed massage therapist that will work
on your specific area of discomfort. The massage therapist is
schooled in a variety of techniques, and will use what he/she
feels is the most appropriate for each patient's problem.
